Our heroes reach the Oasis School for Young People just as Carter is about to open for the day. Last time he saw Tamara she was still a li'l girl so he's pleasantly surprised to see her again. As for Logan? Not so much.
One can only wonder what it took Tamara(aside from the sharp jab) to persuade him to swallow his pride, say sorry and ask for his help.
Carter, by the way, was patterned after Soun Tendo from Ranma 1/2 without the facial hair(Only Elliott can have the manly moostash) I thought it would be funny because he also owns a dojo
Originally I drew him too... wiry and bishounen... and Del Rey didn't like it.
