why must the old man have to die he's my fave :(

i mean has anyone notice when a story focuses on a young character who was on his teenhood or childhood the old relatives of the young character tends to have met a tragic end in one way or another?

its becoming a common tradition of story telling about a coming-of-age now no?

It's more than common actually, it goes all the way back to ancient times to Greek mythology. It's part of the hero's journey I guess, serving both as a dramatic turning point and a driving force in his life.

Here's a spoiler tho- many more people will cease to be, kick the bucket, etc, etc.
