Orube, The Sixth Guardian

YAY! My very first fanart for the year.

note: I think I may be the only guy here who collects and reads each and every ish of W.I.T.C.H. (I have yet to meet a guy around my age who reads it, too -or at least would admit that they do. )

It's Orube! The newest guardian straight from Kandrakar. Originally from Basiliade, a world similar to feudal Japan, Orube was trained in both magic and martial arts since childhood to become one of Kandrakar's best warriors. Assigned to assist Will and the other Guardians, Orube has the thankless task of being a warrior, pet shop assistant, big sister, and peacemaker for the girls. Proud, temperamental, argumentative, and sometimes hotheaded- certainly not the type who'd get along easily with any of the girls. Although her magic isn't as powerful as the elemental magic wielded by the girls, her keen senses and combat skills more than make up for it.

Orube's one of my favoritest! Definitely Will's rival for the top spot. (Their first meeting and mission ended in disaster, and Will later accused her of trying to steal *gasp* Matt away)
Gotta love her character design- her slinky, feline poses(Irma branded her as a cat right away ) her long, trailing obi acts like a tail. And add the amber cat-like eyes, and pointy li'l ears(hidden normally by her hair). Not to mention her hair- I luuv short haired girls, fyi.

And that's beside the fact she also resembles another short haired lady. =^_____^=

Lineart was done with a 0.5 2B mechanical pencil on Canson paper, while colors were done in Photoshop, in around 3 nights(or rather, mornings ) Forgive the background, I'm no good with color combinations. After reading the latest ish of W.I.T.C.H. I simply could not sleep without finishing this(despite having other more important stuff to do. =d ).

Colors are just too much for me, but hope ya'll like it!
